the for us you know the the the famous people were not people like Brad Pit or people like um you know singers or anything like that for us was narcot traficantes and you know to be in a place where you get used to see people death and people hung and people uh you know with a high level of of violence and somehow you have to stay uh you have to stay uh without getting hurt without getting becoming one of them you know so as a kid is it was it was a very uh it was a it was a very uh unfortunate thing you know because a lot of a lot of my friends uh went into it and they they didn’t came out my name is C Milan oan uh I was born August 27 1969 julak aloa under the roof of my grandmother uh Adelina uh fabella Gutierrez and my mom uh went to the hospital and she has a beautiful story about how I was born so something for her to share with you guys uh it’s very beautiful every time that I don’t feel good I just go and and talk to her and she reminds me how special I am for her and it was a special day my mom tells me that uh when I was born a a hurricane came and took the uh the roof over my grandmother Adelina grandmother uh roof I um and that was my beginning on this planet uh to meet a hurricane uh on my first day of being born and so it’s it’s a good it’s a good uh it’s a good connection it’s a good relationship with Mother Nature because I love elements I love the wind the water uh the Earth uh and the fire and so for me all the uh anything that has to do with Mother Nature is very meaningful it has a lot of a lot of power over me and I love the uh the uh the meaning and the feeling of the represent ation of being born uh on this day with this particular Challenge and U my mother you know began to protect me not only in the womb but also uh as as I came onto the onto the Earth then um I was I grew up in a farm uh is palino caloa er this is where my other two grandparents come into into the picture this is where I learned never work against Mother Nature through my grandfather theodoro M Angulo and uh Maria uh the his his wife the ah it brings me great memories because I was born in a in a an environment where you can call that poverty but you know I just never felt poor I never felt uh that anything was missing until we moved to the city but uh I will let you know about that a little later uh but so I grew up with my grandfather and my grandmother my my my mother and my father at the farm with my older sister where we we learned the uh the rules the boundaries the limitations of uh of the land you know how to be with the land and how to be with animals uh in the in this particular house that I grew up it was just one bedroom and we practic slip uh all of us is sleep in one room uh it was no privacy it was no none of that we didn’t have Windows H the window was a a chicken fence H where the cows would pass in the morning and if my grandmother didn’t throw water before the cows passed by which is at 5:00 a.m. and then we will all uh woke up like a um shrimp tempura you know with that full of uh dust and but my grandmother was always very very um um very disciplined on that and and and so we never have to suffer from that she she uh we uh we didn’t have running water so that means we have to go get uh water to the river we have to walk and I remember where a stick and a two buckets and I will always accompany my grandfather in in a farm I learned the traditional way of being the men with the man the woman with the woman um you know so that means we do all the shorts that has to do with men type anything that is heavy anything that is uh poisonous anything that can cut anything that uh that has that is from outside it was our responsibility you know so we had no choice and and we never you know saw it as a as as like do we have any other choice it’s just what we needed to do so it was really good I really I really like that discipline I really like that Focus I really like that having no choice you must help the pack right and that family and that I just uh you know having this memory right now it really brings that memory back because it’s my it’s my grandfather it’s my dad every single day of my childhood they were with me and nowadays when I see you know uh kids they don’t get to be with their parents every day they didn’t get to be with their grandfa every day and let alone grandfather and and father and then it’s you right so I so that’s why for me is it has so much meaning and and and nowadays that I value life at at another level is I I I was never poor you know I was never poor even though in the economy uh in the economical status uh I’m definitely uh considered poor poor and uh another another characteristic about what I grew up uh believe it or not I grew up right behind uh um the church so I’m Catholic by by uh by destination I’m Catholic by destination uh we we have no choice uh which is is good sometimes it’s good not to have a choice of any other options so that way you you develop your discipline and you develop your consistency and you develop your connection with God which I really appreciate it because uh it’s nowh in the world I will be I will be the the the dog whisper without without God right so I I was I was practically born right behind him now I was practically raised right behind you know uh uh God’s uh home which is a church right and I remember uh I grew up with my cousin Enrique and we that was my my uh moment where I get to do whatever activities and we always went to the river we always went to the river we always rode in a in a donkey we always brought a uh Lena which is uh firewood and that’s one thing we did for his home and for my home and that was that was practically my only friend at the uh at the at the ranch and but we had a great time because we spent a lot of time at the river uh we spent a lot of time looking for frogs and looking for lizards and we making volcanoes uh uh at at the at the river I remember to play when my cousins will come from uh from the city from kakan uh they they will come and and they they love to spend time at the at the river you know CU they they live in the city so they didn’t they didn’t get to be at the river we live at the ranch so we get to be with the river all the time and and so that was part of the thing but one of my favorite favorite thing to do is to eat I am a foodie and I think I developed being a foodie because I was always hungry and you know I I into today I I I burn a lot of energy and and when I when I’m hungry I’m it’s just I just want to eat something really good and my grandmother made something really cuz I had two grandmothers remember I got two grandmothers one was in incredible cook and the other one no no she until today I still not forgive her because she only had one uh one thing to make versus my my grandmother Maria uh her fres were amazing her beans were incredible and nobody else has made him like that and this is where you know people used to uh cook with manka which is the L and and as we know now is is not it’s not unhealthy as they as they thought it was so I did went through a process where oh don’t eat the L because it’s bad for the heart but my grandfather and my grandmother di 105 okay so with the same he never change the the diet so we ate the same thing well so our diet would be in incredible beans uh cudos that that would be like number one queso fresco fresh cheese uh that will be number two Nat which is the uh the top of the uh uh once you uh boil the the uh uh the milk you know fresh milk by the way fresh milk uh we’ll eat the top of it and my grandmother will will will preserve that on a jar and then once once it was ready to give it to us she will make it like quesadillas uh but it’s is it has the the NAT on top and and Real Salt by the way and now that I understand salt I was eating real Salt like chunks of salt and so I ate really healthy I ate really really really healthy now that I know uh when it was money enough uh we we’ll have U uh pieces of meat that my grandmother will put them in a skirt in a skirt just like what the uh what the uh Armenians do how they how they do it they put it in a in a in a wire in a piece of metal and my grandmother will make the best carada and and not not too much e not not this not all the salsas and and all of that stuff no no no just the the flavor of the meat the flavor of the tortilla and of course the hunger that I had at that time so that’s a little bit of my uh Me growing up in the farm then we moved to the city because we we because my parents wanted me to go to school and my my dad needed to get a better job not better job but you know a job that creates more money and you know it says evolution is coming in and so my my my father is the is the youngest of 11 and he stayed with my with my parents so I learned a lot about how to be a good good son through my father he’s definitely he’s definitely the best the best son I ever seen in my life and and uh something to to that I admire from my father you know how great of a son he was and he still L because he’s he he goes every single Memorial uh day that is important the birthday of my father and my grandfather muos the day of the death and Christmas any any I mean my my dad visit my grandparents at least every two every other week okay CU we now we live in kakan and and they go to East palino which is the farm by the way we end up purchasing the house that I grew up and as as a memory it’s a very tiny little thing uh and we now we have running water now we have a toilet now we have a stove now we have all the the good stuff nobody lives there but my father likes to go over there to so he can be uh close to his parents and it’s something that is very dear to his heart because he now he’s retired so he has all this time in his hand and so we move we move uh you know from the farm to permanently at the city so I can go to school so my sister and I can go to school or kindergarten is and that’s where I I began to uh to understand that I was a little different than a lot of the kids because a lot of the animals in the city will follow me is in you know and maslan is a street dogs and so it’s they’re everywhere they’re citizens of the of the of the of the place and so it’s not unusual for us to to see uh dogs on the street just just like it’s super normal to see dogs in the farm uh off leash really nobody ever put a leash on the dogs and that was one of those things that I that I really saw that was completely different you know coming from Mexico and then coming to America uh and see the most dogs were on a leash so that was that was the unusual part that was a shocking thing but uh going back to my childhood I um I went to uh Stefania castan that the name of the Kinder that I want to ER my first teacher H was Miss Wilma and um and uh unfortunately she passed away not too long not too long ago like a few years ago but ER I was not old enough to go but I I remember that I used to uh follow my sister a lot my sister M it was she’s my older sister two years older than me and I just couldn’t didn’t want stay in the in the apartment you know cuz we moved from from the farm where you can have all this freedom and now in the apartment now you can’t go anywhere right so it’s kind of boring it’s it’s it’s I didn’t understood at that time why but I just didn’t want to stay at the uh uh at the apartment all day so my mom managed to convince the the teacher of my sister so I can go to k kindergarten so I began kindergarten early earlier than than normal and that’s where my good socialization began right because I now I went from having my f my cousin Enrique to having a lot more more kid friends and I became um uh I guess fell in love with that first girl uh a first cute girl I forgot her name but I remember that I definitely got into this uh uh um you know I wanted to I wanted to uh look good I wanted to look good I wanted to do uh more uh stuff more activities I remember uh in those times they would definitely encourage kids to do poetry and uh I would definitely participate in dancing and poetry so I went to elementary school named Antonio Rosales I remember two things about that I remember how hungry I was was because my mom would never give us money for recess uh she just didn’t want us to uh to buy anything uh because she didn’t want us to have a like a bad back bad stomach ache or like bad teeth I remember the that that was the reason that she said why we can’t have money to buy food but I was just and then the second thing I remember about that school is it to get to to the school you have to go to the steps to the stairs and this stairs for me back then it looked like a 100 steps it looked like a forever it looks like a like a pyramid you know and we didn’t have you know we didn’t have a a transportation we didn’t have none of that we didn’t we just walk we just walk to school um another thing that is important to uh for people to know about that I grew up is I grew up in a in a in a state called caloa so you know yes I was born in kakan caloa then I you know I grew up in is palino and then now in masat Lan aloa but one thing that’s very unfortunate uh for a lot of kids is the uh Narco State and for those who watch uh uh Naros 3 uh I grew up I grew up in a moment where the Federation was uh was created [Music] and remember the uh the the for us you know the the the famous people were not people like Brad Pit or people like um you know singers or anything like that for us was narcot traficantes and you know to be in a place where you get used to see people death and people hung and people uh you know with a high level of of violence and somehow you have to stay uh you have to stay uh without getting getting hurt without getting becoming one of them you know so as a kid is it was it was a very uh it was a it was a very uh unfortunate thing you know because a lot of a lot of my friends uh went into it and they they didn’t came out you know they they they want they went for the easy money they went for the power ER and just just never came back they just unfortunately passed away so you know it’s important for me to tell you this because those are challenges that uh some of us go through and and and it makes us who we are and and and also proves that uh good humans can come from places where aggression or crime is is is at a high level with the Temptation is at a high level where money Fame and power is at the highest level you can think of uh calone is definitely known as as a narco State and and and we just get used to it uh until we move out of there we don’t realize the magnitude of of like the power of uh narcotraficantes you know and the influence they have over the land and over the people and over the culture even over the music and so I grew up in it and you know I I remember one time I was 10 years old and and I told my mom mom when I grew up I’m going to be be a drug dealer and she slapped me poow I remember very clearly because I saw her worry in her face and her disappointment in her face and her fear in her face and of course I had of course I had no idea what what I just said and I have no idea what those what being a narot trafficante was all about I was no idea I had no idea you know uh at that time but the the the magnitude of that profession is and I came to my mind said M when I get but in my mind is just because I you know we we’re lowincome family and my dad works all day and my mom is a simster simster simster my mom is a sress and so she’s you know she takes care of her kids by that time we’re five and uh and and then she has to uh you know solve from 10:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. I remember I used to lay down by her side like a little puppy and because I didn’t want her to stay by herself just sewing you know cuz she have to wake up at 6 so make so she can just do the whole thing all over again give us breakfast take us to school make sure that would save you know so so my mom was a super mom uh but I came you know I came that day and they said you know Mom when I get older I’m going to be a drun or tell him she slapped me and she if you want to kill me that’s what what you do and of course that’s not uh I would say 99% of us Latinos or 99% of us Mexicans we will never do anything to harm our mother actually for us our mother is sacred you know it’s right next to God it’s right next to the Virgin so it’s like it’s it’s far from it we will we will put our hands for our mother and and so that was not the that was not the reason you know and when she say if you want to kill me that’s what you do and and now I understand what she meant by by that right cuzz I I will she will become sad she will be so afraid she will be so disappointed you know that her son will choose such a profession and so from that point on uh thanks God that we got our first TV and I started watching last R I started watching last in R I was a kid that was always outside I I was never a kid that that can be indoor watching TV like the kids nowadays it’s nowhere in the world it’s nowhere in the world that this kid will ever want to be as soon as he wake up and and his first choice is to be in front of a TV but I grew up uh uh watching last and there was certain amount of time because you know because we are in the lowi income bracket we have to take care of everything we have to make sure that we don’t waste water that we don’t waste food that we don’t waste electricity right so we were in the saving and the saving mode and that helped a lot right that help a lot ER and I I’m very particular in what I like to watch I like to watch anything that has to do with happiness anything that has to do with health anything that has to do with passion and anything that makes me smart and and so for me you know watching last WR it was very happy to me it was very healthy it was very loving and I was very smart because due to those TV shows is when few years later when I was 13 years old and walking in on the Malon masan and my mom again is taking me to a a a competition uh I stop and every time I go to this place in Madan I always go to the place that I declare where I told my mom mom you think you think I can be the best doctrinate in the world and she turns around and she looks at me you can be whatever you want as long as you’re not a drug Cel and and that for me that was it that was the permission that I needed that was the acceptance that I needed that was the uh the connection that I needed the agre agement that I needed and from that point on that’s it I said I’m going to be the best dog trainer in the world and then I went to my Judo competition and my mom never watched it by the way because I was the the smallest of the whole team but I always won I I I was a champion and my I was my my dad used to call me the champion and so that was my nickname from my father the champion way before I became the champion I was the champion so uh I just you know just did what I needed to do I’m a a very competitive human being and so I’ve been competitive my whole entire life and in that day at 13 years of age I declare I wanted to be the best doctor in the world and so from that point on I began to work on uh uh helping Varin Arians helping uh groomers helping dog trainers helping whatever whatever has anything to do with dog I wanted to help I wanted to be part of it I I did it for free I at one point in my life I wanted to be a vet and but because again my my parents come from a a hardworking uh mind but not you know didn’t know how to grow the money so I couldn’t I couldn’t go to Mexico City orara which that’s where they teach you about small animals where I’m from they do they do have vinerian school but they only teach you about pigs and cows and I didn’t want to I don’t want to work with pigs and cows I don’t want to via vet not there is anything wrong but my preference is dogs and so I wanted to uh I wanted to I wanted to be a vet for dogs but because economically speaking I couldn’t do it and then my second choice was to become the best dog trainer in the world guys I hope you enjoyed the video make sure you like subscribe and comment and join me on my mission of better humans better planet …
