and start our exciting super super exciting list of words in spanish through get you to the doors [Music] buenos dias buenos dias good morning good morning buenos dias good afternoon buenas tardes buenas tardes good night buenas noches now a lot of people say only buenas it doesn’t matter the time of the day if you’re just walking and you see some spanish speakers going by you can just say buenas and that’s good buenas instead of saying buenos dias buenas noches the reason is for native spanish speakers it’s very important that the the time of the day so before noon it’s diaz but after noon it start this but before it gets dark it started still and then when it gets dark it’s not just but you’ll see if you say buenas no buenos buenos dias and it’s after 12 you’ll be like uh someone slept in again or as we say in spanish we got the um the covers uh stick to our skin like oh the covers got stuck to my skin seme pegaron las cobias very well you can only say hola but that’s very casual right so maybe you might want to say buenas or ola if you feel like say being casual hola guillermo como estas biento tambien try to say both words some people try to hug these two words to make them hug each other so try to say como estas como estas say yes nice say it nice and slow and you’ll get it right or maybe if you’re talking to someone you respect very much usted itu is for someone that you are familiar with usted is for someone who you don’t know who you respect who is relative like older than you etc they can say yo maybe you started flirting or something or you just want to know the name of the person como te llamas you can say me llamo pedro yo me llamo anna si de donde eres anna where are you from where are you from i am from mexico soy de mexico or you can say your nationality i am mexican soy mexicana you have two options i am from mexico i [Music] it’s a bit hard if you are started so you can say soy de los estados unidos estados unidos some people might ask you de que parte from what part because it’s so big so you say de que parte de que parte or maybe you’re interested in learning from where exactly your friend is maybe your friend says oh i’m mexican but you want to know where in mexico you see the dangerous part the non-dangerous part the really dangerous part or the super peaceful part right you want to know but because maybe you want to visit that place so you want to know the level of of violence and extreme you can give the hand but you don’t have to you can say oh it’s my pleasure es el gusto es mio but that’s maybe very formal you can just say mucho gusto when you say when you want to say oh same for me or same here igualmente mucha maybe you want to know oh what’s new what’s new is [Music] is the same some people say adios some people say yesterday some people think like adios is oh maybe adios is just too harsh it’s like a very strict farewell but maybe hasta luego it kind of gives us psychological it gives us the idea that it’s going to be a shorter time that we won’t see each other so it’s useful hasta luego and you don’t want to be so harsh like adios you can say esta logo but i say adios many people say adios and it’s just bye see you later you can say we’ll see each other soon nos vemos pronto we’ll see each other soon soon a very common useful word is i’ll see you later tebeo alvarado it’s like mouse raton but it’s not a mouse because it doesn’t have the end and it doesn’t have an accent mark so it’s a completely different word alright i’ll see you later i was making that joke because raton is mouse but it’s not la ton este albato i will see you later when you’re gonna see a person for sure you’re gonna see it later you can say tabeo alvarado now you can say nos vemos alvato maybe you don’t want to say that to one person maybe you want to say that to more than one then you can say ah nos vemos el rato si adios may be your co-workers and it’s a bunch of them or you can just say hasta manana hasta manana hasta maniana hasta manana see you tomorrow hasta manana maybe some people i forgot what are you doing what are you doing we ask this what are you doing if you want to exaggerate even more you’ll say [Music] i’m very cold or you don’t have to be so dramatic dramatico so you have an option you can say tengo muchofrio or solamente only tengo frio same with heat with the sun tengo mucho calor i’m very hot tengo mucho calor when is summer cuando esperano ah a cold s go mucho calor i am very cold then go mucho color if i don’t want to be dramatic then then go calor but if it’s really dramatic then go muchis simo calor very thirsty i’m thirsty i am hungry tengo it is called difference i am cold we saw here but now you’re talking about the weather it is cold it is cold today asafrio ase frio or it is hot today ase now if you have a beverage maybe your coffee which is supposed to be hot is cold so you can say estafrio maybe your beverage is supposed to be cold and it’s hot because the sun is getting through it so you say esta caliente esta caliente quiero esta caliente esta muy caliente or esta muy frio you can add here [Music] muy frio muy caliente for beverages next i’m going for a coffee boy porun cafe i’m going for a coffee boy por un cafe do you want something do you want something can you bring me a coffee yes can you bring me a coffee me try some cafe sure claro claro [Music] do you have cash tienes effectivo no no i only have card no solo tengo targeta i only have card solo tengo targeta de credito a credit card no is the debit it is a change can you break this tienes cambio tienes cambio very useful in mexico because nobody has changed tienes cambio si si tengo espera when you can say enjoy when somebody is eating or a group of people are learning it is nice to say prove they’ll say gracias you should go to a restaurant and you see people eating and you say prove it gracias you answer or they answer to you it depends call me or give me a call yamame jama me with the accent here so we’re gonna pronounce it higher yamame yamame when you realize oh yeah i started it’s late like oh time flew by senos rapido very fast just started but you can also say estar or it’s early esteem but you cannot say guys temprano i don’t think that did i start there but you could say es temprano se me so tarde i’m late i’m late i’m running late i’m running late se me is i’m going to be late i’m sorry i’m going to lie down i’m going to lie down you see this is going i’m leaving yeah my boy karina my boy mama i’m leaving mother boy i hope you have a good day it’s as if you were saying have a good day but we say that you have a good day as if we were saying i hope that you have a good day so that’s can also say bonito dia pretty day bonitoria que des cances i hope get this cancer is i hope you sleep well or i hope you get some uh rest usually at night when you go to sleep get this cancers uh que duermas bien i hope that you sleep well que eduardo mas where is an atm is there an atm around donde ayun cajero donde ai un cajero di sculpe senor donde ayun kajero annoy already you see here you probably are at the restaurant or wherever you are and you say donde estelbano excuse me sir where is the bathroom oyga donde estelbano but if you if you really like have to go and you’re on the street and you really need to go to the bathroom so you run to a restaurant the closest one and you say this cuipe senor puedo el bano can i use the bathroom and you can be more dramatic and say because i really need to like it’s coming it’s coming so you can say mestoya siendo me estoy has siendo and you can do like i really need to use it and they feel sorry for you and they’ll let you use it and you can say on your way uh on your weight out of the bathroom in the restaurant just to pretend that you’re interested in maybe going to that restaurant for dinner you can say okay so maybe you see something that cuts your attention and maybe the owner said oh esun biolinda says it’s a violin violin from the 16th century and you say oh que bonito you say oh que bonito que seso o que bonito and you can say i’ll see you later nos vemos in that you give them with the illusion that you might go back to that restaurant or maybe you can show more interest in that restaurant and he says hey excuse me sarah what time do you close at what time do you close you can use that for the restaurant to keep pretending that you’re gonna be back to that restaurant or you can use it for any other story or you can say are you open on sundays avalos domingos habrelos domingos avre los domingos and a lot of places in latin america and mexico are closed on sunday especially smaller places so it is no mexico city everything is open i think i am tired estoy cansada if you are i’m i say i’m [Music] is as if you had an r here but you don’t you have a d like like d d who is d i think in battle star galactica there’s someone that is called d
